Dark Sky: Create a Weather Dashboard
Dark Sky specializes in weather forecasting and visualization. The really cool aspect of Dark Sky is that they have an API that we can use to retrieve the weather data (pretty much) any where in the world. Temperature, dew point, wind gust, humidity, precipitation, pressure, UV index, … all easily available for wherever we want, whenever we want.
Open Notify: Track the International Space Station
Who doesn’t love space? Seriously. Especially when we live in a glorious day and age of public space data! Thanks to NASA and the Open Notify API, we can access data about where the International Space Station is right now using AWS Lambda or your favorite single-board computer!
